Beat the Drum!

St. Augustine and St. Johns County Chamber of Justice Event Notice

The St. Augustine and St. John's County Chamber of Justice
announces a solidarity rally to be held Monday March 9, 2009 at the
St. Augustine (FL) City Plaza.

Congratulations to the courageous artists and their attorneys who
are awaiting an emergency court hearing on their request for an
injunction against the city of St. Augustine.

We call on all persons who believe the city has gone too far in
suppressing dissent to come stand with us in unity.

The city continues its practice of deliberately suppressing federally
guaranteed civil rights and Mayor Boles indicates the city will simply
pass another unconstitutional ban after this one is ruled
unconstitutional. When will it stop?

The artists and street performers are but one group of our local
citizens selected for different enforcement of law. another group
that receives different law enforcement lives in West Augustine and
Lincolnville.

At 10:30 am we invite you to RALLY with us in the city plaza in
celebration of this new sense of hope for artist and musicians, some
who have struggled for two decades now.

Your attendance will send a powerful message so we invite you to
stand with us in power, the power of we the people. Join us in
support of lawful government and a fair justice system.
