The Glasgow Herald is awed by the nerve of the ULA. Yes, it's
truly a global message we offer: "Relevant literature now!"


January 21, 2004:
*NYT Book Review Irrelevant? Shocking! Here's an article about
the panic at NYT to improve their Book Review. But any change
that still involves out-of-touch elitist clubbies will be just
as, well, out of touch, boring and unread. They're betting that
shifting to corporate (formula) nonfiction and airport trash is
the answer. HARDY HAR! Too bad they won't review indy media
projects! Too bad they won't DIG for what people are really
reading, writing and doing outside the academic/NYC deathgrip.
Well, at least they know they're LOSING.        


January 26, 2004:
3 A.M. magazine interviews Michael Jackman here.


January 2004:
Underground Literary Adventures Blog is started by Pat King.
Wenclas, Emerson Dameron, and Wred Fright soon jump on board
and add to the insanity. By May the blog has mutated into a
showcase of underground writing.


2004:
Kondundrum Engine runs an interview with ULAers and the goofy
Lee Klein.


February 14, 2004:
Front-page New York Times article exposes anonymous attacks
against the ULA were actually coming from major writers like
Dave Eggers.


February 22, 2004:
The ULA makes the pages of The Boston Globe.
